4-day Chimpanzee Encounter

This four day safari has been designed to join up with our 8-day scheduled ‘Best of Uganda' safari, or as a stand-alone safari, and spends two nights in the Kibale region, allowing ample time for forest walks, chimp tracking and even night walks. We also spend time on Lake Victoria Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary and overnight on this exclusive island, allowing time to understand the plight of chimpanzees both in the wild, and in an ‘orphanage'.

Includes ; Transportation from QENP to Entebbe, accommodation in lodges / tented camps. Meals as above, services of driver/guide, All park entry fees, excursion to Ngamba Chimpanzee Island by boat & entrance fees, Kibale forest walk (day time).

Excludes: Drinks, items of a personal nature, charter flights, tips and activities shown separately such as Night Forest walk, Kibale, Ngamba Forest walk optional (USD400) or Ngamba Caregiver Programme (USD150), anything not shown, Kibale Chimpanzee permit (USD90).

Day 1 - You will be collected from your safari camp or lodge in Queen Elizabeth National park, and driven to Kibale area (Approximately a 2-3 hour drive). You will have the opportunity for an afternoon forest walk, or to just relax at your lodge. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2 - Morning chimp tracking in Kibale Forest. The afternnon can be spent either relaxing, or taking a forest walk. You will also have the option to take a night forest walk. Accommodation on a full board basis.

Day 3 - Return to Entebbe (5-6 hours drive) - lunch included en route. Transfer by boat to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary excursion. Overnight on a full board basis.

Day 4 - Full day on the island, returning to mainland late afternoon. Optional forest walk / other chimp activities / interaction with CSWCT staff. Return to mainland, end services. Breakfast and lunch included. Please do not book a flight out before 19h00 today. Additional nights on Ngamba / Entebbe / Jinja can be easily organised.
